Split System servicing, when to service your split system.
Do you know when you should be servicing your split system air con? Well if it hasn’t been serviced for 2 years or more, we would always recommend a deep clean and a through servicing. A deep clean will include an anti-bacterial rinse and pressure cleaning of the indoor unit coils. If the filters are due to be cleaned or haven’t been cleaned for a while you will most likely find that the indoor unit coils are filthy and will most likely require and pressure cleaning service.
Below is what is involved with both the minor and major services.
Basically, we recommend you service your split system every 12 months. We recommend major servicing every 2 years (depending on usage and environment) but our technicians can advise you on the day if he believes your split system will require a deeper more thorough cleaning.

- General wipe down of indoor unit covers and refit.

Split System Major Service (2 Years)

- Test of system functions.
- Removal of front cover.
- Removal and cleaning of filters.
- Drain inspection and drain function test.
- Pressure cleaning of indoor coil unit with water catcher and low pressure washer.
- Antibacterial spray.
- General wipe down of indoor unit covers and refit.
- General wash of outdoor unit and wipe down.
- Pressure cleaning of outdoor coils.
- Pressure test.
Ducted air conditioning REPAIR + SERVICE MINDARIE
Ducted air con servicing, when to service your ducted reverse cycle AC?
We recommend you service your ducted reverse cycle air con every year! Your ducted reverse cycle air conditioner service will include a general inspection and fault test.
As part of the service we will perform the following:
- Remove and clean return air filterpad.
- Wash down and clean outdoor unit. (excluding coils)
- General visual inspection of accessible ducting for tears or rodent damage.
- Test of zone motors to make sure functioning correctly.
- Reset any service reminders.
EVAPORATIVE air conditioning service / repair MINDARIE
Evap air con servicing, when to service your evaporative AC?
Evaporative aircons work by pumping water over PADS, The FAN inside the unit pulls the air through the PADS cooling it. This water is stored in a tank in the unit. Some older evaporative’s don’t have drain valves to drain the unit when turned off so water can sit stagnant all through winter… yuck!. This is why some evaporative systems have a foul smell when turned on for the first time in Summer.
We recommend an evaporative service summer startup service before the heat hits as we have evap air con technicians near you that may become very busy very fast.
As part of the standard evap servicing we will perform the following:
- Remove and clean evaporative pads.
- Clean, drain and wash water tank.
- Sanitise ready for use.
- Electrical testing of fan motor, drains and pumps.
- We leave your evaporative air con nice and clean and not smelly.
